How to Fix Not Getting Verification Texts on Android & iPhone

You should also ensure that your SIM card is in good condition when your phone does not receive the verification code.

You also won’t receive a verification code from the blocked number. So, check that the number sending the verification code is not on your blocked list.

On iPhone:

• Go to iPhone’s Settings > Messages > Blocked Contacts
• Find the number you want to unblock.
• Swipe right to the left across the number and tap unblock.

On Android:

• Open Messages.
• Click the menu icon (three vertical lines in the top left corner or your profile’s icon in the top right corner).
• Select Spam & blocked.
• Find the spam and blocked numbers.
• Press Not Spam or Unblock if you see your desired message or user.

If your inbox is full, open the Messages app, select unnecessary text messages, and delete them to avoid not receiving verification texts due to storage.

Additionally, try clearing the cache of your messaging app. Sometimes, stored or corrupted data can slow it down and interfere with receiving verification texts.

On iPhone:

• Click on the “Messages” app icon on your home screen.
• Open the message you would like to delete.
• Long press on the message.
• Select “More” from the menu list.
• Click on the “Delete” icon. 

On Android:

• Click on the “Messages” app icon on your home screen.
• Long press on the message you would like to delete.
• Click on the “Delete” icon.

Most of the time, un-updated software is also why you’re not getting the verification text on your iPhone or Android. So, ensure your phone’s operating system is up to date.

On iPhone:

• Go to the iPhone’s Settings > General > Software Updates.
• If an update is available, tap "Download and Install" or "Install Now."

On Android:

• Go to the phone’s Settings > System > Software Update > System Update > Check for update.
• If an update is available, tap "Download and Install" or "Install Now."
